There is a barn in Mittelberg - it looks a little crooked at first glance. But cheese, honey, bacon and syrup stand upright next to the house specialties and cut a really good figure. Perhaps not in the truest sense of the word, but that taste ...
And what is the Heubergfeuer anyway? - It's not an incense stick made of hay and it's reminiscent of sweet and tart berries ... Have you tried it yet?

Juniper ham, mountain salami, peppercorns, pumpkin cheese and a delicious liqueur - the list for those staying at home can be quite long. Fortunately, Berchtold's Bura Lädele has what you're looking for as a souvenir! In the somewhat hidden bacon and cheese cellar, however, you will find something else, namely a very special Käsknöpfle mix - so that the vacation feeling can linger, it's best to take it home for yourself.

In the mountain village of Baad, the delicacies of the Walser Buura are of course a must. At the entrance to the café, the sausage and cheese specialties lure guests into the house and once they are inside, the Schuster family enchants their guests with Swedish almond cake, Sacher cake, apple strudel, Rumnusskranz ... But the cake is only served after the “Walser Buurabrotziit”!

There is a honey counter in the Zwerwald & you can also ring Kurt Müller's doorbell to take the delicious honey home with you. Bees feel right at home at 1,100 meters above sea level.

Do you know Everest and Eumel? ... Well, they're goats and at the same time two of the hardest-working employees at Fritz Organic & Gourmet Farm. The farm has its own cheese dairy and the farm store Xond has a live broadcast of the cheese ripening! The beef ham is something to be proud of, because the cow also looked very smart and the chicken only lays eggs when it wants to and not because it has to. You'll notice it in the taste - I promise!
Tip: On Tuesdays, you can take an e-bike to the organic farm.
