Tour description

The great Schwarzwasserbach nature adventure trail leads from Schröflesäge along the Schwarzwasserbach stream to the natural bridge. On this nature adventure, the whole family can gain an insight into the aquatic habitat and uncover secrets about the Schwarzwasserbach stream.

The themed trail is accompanied by a research book with exciting puzzles about the natural areas in Kleinwalsertal. The research book, including a research kit, is available for €8 at the tourist information office in the Walserhaus in Hirschegg. Along the way, research stations, information pillars discreetly integrated into the landscape, provide useful tips for solving the tasks. The story of the marmot friends Burmi and Burmina and their “Schwarzwasserbach research expedition” is complemented by an exciting audio play.

The start of the nature explorer adventure is only about 100 meters from the Schröfle-Säge bus stop. You can reach station 1 via Schwarzwassertalstraße in just a few steps. The other stations can be found along the Schwarzwasserbach stream. In addition, an exciting radio play provides you with valuable information about each station and guides you through the naturalist adventure. From the Kesselschwand nature discovery site, you can return by taking the short bus ride up to Riezlern-Egg (bus line 2).

Tip: From Hirschegg you can also reach station 1 with the Heubergbahn. The train takes you comfortably to the mountain station. From the mountain station, walk down to Schöntalhof, turn left there into the small path and continue downhill to Schwarzwassertalstraße and walk to Station 1 near the Schröflesäge bus stop (in about 25 minutes from the Heubergbahn mountain station).

For this expedition you need the explorer set (available at Walserhaus Hirschegg) and a smartphone for the radio play. Along the way, information points will help you solve the tasks! With the tips from the stations you can solve the various puzzles.

Tips

In addition to the nature expedition on the Schwarzwasserbach stream, Burmi and Burmina also embark on an “insect nature adventure” on the Heuberg and a “wildlife nature adventure” in the Gemsteltal valley.
